The client engaged Technoton Ltd for the supply and installation of a VRF central air conditioning system and fire sprinkler system.

Client Profile: Mulliner Towers, Lagos

Mulliner Towers is a boutique accommodation of twenty four (24) apartments in Ikoyi, Lagos.

VRF Central Air Conditioning System

  • Supply and installation of a VRF air conditioning system for the two top floors which served as hotel apartments.
  • Thirty (30) units of 25 tons split type ducted central air condition units were supplied and installed.

VRF (variable refrigerant flow) is a unique HVAC technology which uses refrigerants as the heating and cooling medium. Also known as variable refrigerant volume (VRV), the refrigerant is conditioned by a single outdoor condensing unit and circulated to spaces within the building through multiple indoor units.

VRFs are typically installed with an air conditioner inverter which adds a DC inverter to the compressor. The inverter makes it possible to provide variable motor speed and variable refrigerant flow as the HVAC equipment runs [source]. Some benefits of the system include consistent cooling, quiet operation and high energy efficiency.

Fire Protection System

The project also included installation of a fire sprinkler system for the facility.
